Using quantum physics and string theory, the corporation ITC
has discovered that they can travel through time. Essentially they fax
themselves to the previous time. The problem is that too much “faxing” results
in anomalies in the genome.
The main story is about a group of college students that are
sent back to medieval France to save one of their professors that is lost in
time. They have to find their professor all without contaminating the timeline
themselves. One of Crichton’s best even if he starts babbling about science the
average person doesn’t care about. You have time travel, Michael, I get it!
