Flight of the Navigator (1986)

 

In 1978, David Freeman is abducted by a sentient ship named “Max.” He unknowingly travels to a distant galaxy and although he doesn’t age a day, eight years have passed since he was abducted. David is brought to a government facility where they want to conduct experiments on him. Max in turn has managed to crash and erase his own memories on how to get home. Max lures David back because he implanted the coordinates to his own planet in David’s brain. Max and David both need to figure out how to get home. It’s a great movie.
